General Guidelines

Code of conduct

  • Park only where it is allowed.
  • Use public transport or carpool whenever possible.
  • Stay on the designated paths.
  • Respect zones and routes where climbing is prohibited.
  • Use the climbers’ toilet. If there is no toilet available, dig a small hole and do not leave any tissue behind.
  • Use as little chalk as possible. Remove tick marks after finishing your project.
  • Leave no trace.
  • Do not play music and keep noise to a minimum. Nature and other climbers will appreciate it.
  • Do not make fires and do not camp in the climbing area.
  • Do not occupy a route longer than necessary. If you set up a toprope, place it in your own carabiners.
  • Respect the rules and each other.
  • Check the information board for the latest updates regarding the crag.

Reporting rock management and safety issues

  • Have you noticed an unsafe situation on one of the crags? Report it using this link.
  • Be Aware of the Risks of Outdoor Rock Climbing. Rock climbing comes with inherent risks. Natural rock is formed by nature, with all its uncertainties. The crag manager maintains the area together with rock‑management teams, and they will always try to resolve dangerous situations. However, this does not mean climbing is without risk. Rock may break. Serious falls and life‑threatening situations cannot be ruled out. Climb on natural rock only with sufficient knowledge, experience, and caution.

Access to the crag

  • Individual climbers have access to the crag if they hold a membership card from CAB, KBF, or UBS.
  • Individual climbers who are members of NKBV or Natuurvrienden Bergstijgers need a membership card + a “klimjaarkaart”.
  • Members may invite non‑members to the crag through the climbing permit system of CAB or KBF
  • Please be friendly to our rock inspectors and proactively show them your membership card and any other required documents to prove your membership.
